Robert C. Watson, Jr. DMD, FAGD, FICOI

Dr. Robert Watson graduated from the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry in 1982. Prior to studying at MCG in Augusta, he attended the University of Georgia where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Sciences. Dr. Watson has been practicing dentistry for over 35 years.

Dr. Watson maintains an impeccable record of continuing dental education courses. His pursuit of excellence in dentistry is reflected in the quality and variety of treatment that he provides to all of his patients. His patients find that his extensive knowledge and exceptional dental skills, combined with his warm and caring manner, make their visits to the dental office as stress-free as possible.

In May of 2017 Dr.Watson, earned Fellowship status in The International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI) . The awarding of Fellowship status is an honor which a professional society such as the ICOI bestows on a dental professional involved in dental implant treatment. The ICOI has a Fellowship program in which active members are encouraged to achieve Fellowship status through their efforts in education, research, and actual clinical experience.

This is the second Fellowship award Dr. Watson has received in his dental career. In 1999 his hard work was recognized when he was awarded the prestigious Fellowship of the Academy of General Dentistry. As a Fellow of the AGD, Dr. Watson has been recognized as a leader who is committed to life-long learning and excellence in patient care. The Fellowship Award symbolizes the professional responsibility of dentists to remain current in their profession. To achieve this award, Dr. Watson completed a comprehensive written exam and a minimum of 500 hours of quality continuing dental education.

Dr. Watson and his wife, Audrey, live in Griffin. They are members of Rock Springs Church. Their daughter, Emily, is in LECOM Pharmacy School in Bradenton, FL and their son, Robert, is a tennis teaching professional in Chattanooga, TN and is studying to become a Financial Planner. Dr. Watson’s favorite hobby is fly fishing. He also enjoys tennis, running, photography, tying his own flies, and building bamboo fly rods.
